Peer Review Process

The Global Economics & Finance Insights (GEFI) maintains a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the academic quality, originality, and integrity of all published manuscripts. Both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the process to promote fairness and objectivity.

1. Submission Acknowledgment

  • Once a manuscript is submitted, the editorial office reviews it for scope, formatting, and compliance with ethical guidelines.

  • Submissions that do not meet the basic requirements may be returned to authors before review.

2. Initial Editorial Screening

  • The Editor-in-Chief or assigned Associate Editor evaluates the manuscript’s relevance, contribution, and quality.

  • Manuscripts that fail to meet the journal’s standards may be rejected at this stage without external review.

3. Reviewer Assignment

  • Suitable manuscripts are sent to at least two independent expert reviewers with expertise in the subject area.

  • Additional reviewers may be invited when necessary.

4. Double-Blind Review

  • Reviewers assess the manuscript’s originality, methodological soundness, clarity, contribution to the field, and adherence to ethical standards.

  • Each reviewer submits a detailed report with recommendations:

    • Accept as is

    • Minor revision

    • Major revision

    • Reject

5. Editorial Decision

  • Based on reviewers’ feedback, the editor makes a decision on the manuscript.

  • Authors receive the reviewers’ comments and are expected to revise accordingly.

6. Revision & Resubmission

  • Authors submit a revised version along with a response letter addressing each reviewer’s comment.

  • The revision may be sent back to reviewers for further evaluation if necessary.

7. Final Decision

  • The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision after considering reviewers’ feedback and the quality of revisions.

  • Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting and production.
