Publication Ethics

Global Economics & Finance Insights (GEFI) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and integrity. The journal follows internationally recognized guidelines, including the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Code of Conduct, to ensure the credibility, transparency, and quality of published work.

Responsibilities of Authors

  • Authors must ensure that their manuscripts present original research and have not been published elsewhere or under review in another journal.

  • Proper acknowledgment of all sources and references is required to avoid plagiarism.

  • Any conflicts of interest, funding sources, or ethical approvals (where applicable) must be clearly disclosed.

  • Authors are responsible for the accuracy of the data, results, and interpretations presented in their work.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

  • Reviewers must conduct fair, objective, and timely evaluations of submitted manuscripts.

  • Confidentiality of the review process must be strictly maintained; manuscripts should not be shared or discussed with others.

  • Reviewers should identify any potential conflicts of interest and decline assignments where bias may occur.

  • Constructive feedback should be provided to help authors improve the quality of their manuscripts.

Responsibilities of Editors

  • Editors are responsible for making publication decisions based solely on the manuscript’s academic merit, originality, and relevance.

  • Editors must ensure a fair and transparent peer review process and protect the anonymity of reviewers and authors.

  • Editors should actively prevent and address issues of plagiarism, duplicate publication, or unethical research practices.

  • Editors must not have any conflict of interest with respect to articles under consideration.

Plagiarism and Misconduct Policy

  • Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, or unethical practices will be rejected immediately.

  • If misconduct is discovered after publication, the journal reserves the right to issue corrections, retractions, or other appropriate measures.
