Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is 1.5-spaced; uses a 12-point font, Times New Roman; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit original research articles, reviews, and case studies to Global Economics & Finance Insights (GEFI). To ensure a smooth review and publication process, authors should follow the guidelines below.


1. Manuscript Preparation

  • Language: Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise English.

  • Length: Articles should generally be between 4,000–8,000 words, including tables, figures, and references. Shorter papers may be accepted if they make a strong contribution.

  • Format:

    • Use Microsoft Word (.docx) format.

    • Font: Times New Roman, size 12, 1.5 line spacing.

    • Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides.


2. Structure of the Manuscript

  • Title Page (separate file): Title of the article, author names, institutional affiliations, ORCID iD (if available), email addresses, and corresponding author details.

  • Abstract: 150–250 words summarizing the purpose, methodology, results, and conclusion.

  • Keywords: 4–6 relevant keywords for indexing.

  • Main Text: Typically structured as:

    1. Introduction

    2. Literature Review

    3. Methodology

    4. Results and Discussion

    5. Conclusion and Recommendations

  • Acknowledgments (if any).

  • References in APA 7th Edition style.


3. Tables and Figures

  • All tables and figures must be numbered consecutively and include clear titles or captions.

  • Ensure high-quality images (minimum 300 dpi).

  • Tables/figures should be placed within the text, close to where they are first mentioned.


4. Referencing Style

  • The journal follows APA 7th Edition referencing format.

  • Example (in-text citation): (Smith, 2022).

  • Example (reference list): Smith, J. (2022). Global finance and policy. Oxford University Press.
