Publication Process

The Global Economics & Finance Insights (GEFI) follows a transparent and rigorous publication process to ensure the quality, originality, and integrity of published research. Authors are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the process before submitting manuscripts.

1. Manuscript Submission

  • Authors submit their manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system or via email (as specified in the guidelines).

  • Submissions must adhere to the journal’s formatting and referencing requirements.

2. Initial Screening

  • The editorial office conducts a preliminary review to check the manuscript’s relevance, originality, structure, and compliance with the journal’s scope and ethical standards.

  • Manuscripts failing to meet the basic requirements may be returned to authors for revision or declined.

3. Plagiarism Check

  • All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software.

  • Manuscripts exceeding the acceptable similarity threshold will be returned to authors or rejected.

4. Peer Review

  • Eligible manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process, where at least two independent experts evaluate the paper’s quality, methodology, and contribution.

  • Reviewers provide constructive feedback to guide authors in improving their work.

5. Editorial Decision

  • Based on reviewers’ comments, the editor may make one of the following decisions:

    • Accept as submitted

    • Minor Revision

    • Major Revision

    • Reject

  • Authors are notified of the decision and, if revisions are required, must respond point-by-point to reviewers’ comments.

6. Revision & Resubmission

  • Authors submit the revised manuscript within the specified timeframe.

  • Revised manuscripts may undergo additional review if necessary.

7. Final Acceptance & Copyediting

  • Once accepted, the manuscript goes through copyediting and formatting to ensure clarity, style consistency, and compliance with journal standards.

8. Proofreading & Author Approval

  • Authors receive page proofs for final review before publication.

  • Only minor corrections (e.g., typos or formatting issues) are allowed at this stage.

9. Online Publication

  • The final version of the article is published in the upcoming monthly issue of the journal.

  • Articles are made available online with a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) for global access and citation.
