Plagiarism

Global Economics & Finance Insights (GEFI) upholds the highest standards of academic integrity and publication ethics. To safeguard originality, all submitted manuscripts are checked for similarity using Turnitin plagiarism detection software.

  • The acceptable similarity index is 20% or less (excluding references, bibliography, and properly cited quotations).

  • Manuscripts exceeding this threshold will be returned to authors for revision or may be rejected outright.

  • Any evidence of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, data fabrication, or image manipulation, will result in rejection of the manuscript and may lead to further action in line with COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.

  • If plagiarism is identified after publication, the article will be subject to retraction or correction, and the authors’ institutions may be notified.

GEFI is committed to promoting originality and protecting the rights of authors by ensuring that all published works are authentic, properly cited, and free from academic misconduct.
